Crow to sing anthem at All-Star game

NEW YORK (AP)—Pop star Sheryl Crow will sing “The Star-Spangled Banner”before Tuesday night’s All-Star game in St. Louis.

The nine-time Grammy winner is to perform at an All-Star charity concertthis weekend with Elvis Costello, with Major League Baseball donating $1 millionto Stand Up To Cancer.

Country star Sara Evans, like Crow a Missouri native, is to sing “God BlessAmerica” during the seventh-inning stretch, the commissioner’s office saidThursday.

President Barack Obama is scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.

“American Idol” winner David Cook will perform two songs before the HomeRun Derby on Monday. Nikko Smith, a 2005 “American Idol” finalist and son ofCardinals Hall of Famer Ozzie Smith, will sing the national anthem.

R&B’s Ginuwine will perform the anthem before Sunday’s Futures game.
