Rays sign Cuban 1B-OF Anderson

PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. (AP)—Cuban Leslie Anderson has agreed in principle to acontract with the Tampa Bay Rays.
The Rays said Thursday that some details of the deal with the 27-year-oldfirst baseman-outfielder are still being worked out.
Anderson is a former member of the Cuban national team.
