Reds agree to terms with Isringhausen

CINCINNATI (AP)—The Reds activated catcher Ramon Hernandez(notes) off the 15-daydisabled list and agreed to a minor league contract with right-hander JasonIsringhausen(notes), giving the reliever a chance to continue his comeback from elbowsurgery.
The Reds also sent catcher Corky Miller(notes) to Triple-A Louisville on Thursday.Miller batted .246 with one homer and seven RBIs while filling in for Hernandezand injured backup Ryan Hanigan(notes). Hernandez had been sidelined since July 9 witha sore knee.
The 37-year-old Isringhausen had reconstructive elbow surgery in June lastyear, when he played for Tampa Bay. He also had elbow surgery in September 2008.Isringhausen has 293 career saves. He threw for the Reds on Tuesday.
