Clippers C Kaman out against Cavaliers

CLEVELAND (AP)—Los Angeles Clippers center Chris Kaman(notes) missed his secondstraight game Sunday night against Cleveland because of a sprained left ankle.

Kaman, who leads the Clippers with 20.2 points a game and is second on theteam with 9.1 rebounds, participated in pregame warmups, but the decision wasmade that he would sit out. He also missed Friday night’s game at Minnesota. TheClippers are 0-5 without Kaman, who is listed as day-to-day.

Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy said Kaman was getting better but wasn’t sureif he could run and cut on the ankle.

Kaman was injured in the third quarter against New Jersey on Jan. 27, butfinished the game.

Second-year center DeAndre Jordan(notes) started in Kaman’s place against theCavaliers.
