Hill remains Spurs’ starting PG vs. Mavs

DALLAS (AP)—George Hill(notes) remains San Antonio’s starting point guard for theplayoff opener against Dallas, despite aggravating an ankle injury and thepresence of Tony Parker(notes).
“(Hill) says he wants to play, so we’ll give it a shot,” Spurs coach GreggPopovich said before the game Sunday night, adding that that he was “nervousabout it.”

“I don’t know how his ankle feels,” Popovich said. “He says he feelsgood, the trainer says he can go. But we’ll see.”
Hill took over the offense when Parker broke a bone in his right hand inearly March. He missed four games in April because of a strained tendon in hisright foot, then hurt it again in the season finale Wednesday night.
Parker has been back for six games and has come off the bench every time.
