Kings rookie Evans out against Clippers

LOS ANGELES (AP)—Rookie scoring leader Tyreke Evans(notes) did not make the trip toLos Angeles for the Sacramento Kings’ game against the Clippers because of aslight concussion and facial injuries he sustained in a double-overtime loss tothe Milwaukee Bucks.
Evans missed his sixth game of the season on Sunday. The point guard’sinjuries—including a bruised jaw, lacerated gums and chipped teeth—resultedfrom Ersan Ilyasova’s(notes) inadvertent elbow while they were going for a loose ballduring the final minute of regulation on Friday night.
X-rays and a CT scan Evans had Saturday came out negative. He will bere-evaluated on Monday before the Kings host Memphis.
He is averaging 20.3 points and in 37.3 minutes.
