Knicks F Lee out with knee tendinitis

NEW YORK (AP)—David Lee(notes) missed the New York Knicks’ game against Philadelphiaon Friday night because of right knee tendinitis.
The Knicks announced the All-Star center was out minutes before the start ofthe game. It was the first missed game this season for Lee, who leads the teamwith 20.1 points and 11.7 rebounds per game.
With Eddy Curry(notes) still not ready to play because of a sore right calf, theKnicks gave Jonathan Bender(notes) his first start since March 21, 2003, as the center.The Knicks also were without starting forward Wilson Chandler(notes) (sore left groin).
The Knicks listed Lee as day to day.
