CHICAGO (AP)—LeBron James(notes) has become the youngest player to score 15,000points, breaking Kobe Bryant’s(notes) mark by more than two years in the first quarterof the Cleveland Cavaliers’ game against the Chicago Bulls.
Three points short of the milestone ahead of Friday’s game, James soared infor a hard right-handed dunk on a break about 4:40 into the contest. He then hittwo free throws about 40 seconds later, giving him 15,001 career points
James reached the milestone at 25 years, 79 days. Bryant was 27 years, 136days when he did it for the Los Angeles Lakers.
