Reserve C Petro re-signs with Nuggets

DENVER (AP)—Reserve center Johan Petro(notes) has resigned with the Denver Nuggets.
Petro appeared in 27 games for Denver last season, starting 10 times andaveraging 2.2 points and 2.3 rebounds. He also appeared in 10 playoff of theNuggets’ playoff games as they reached the Western Conference finals.
Petro has career averages of 5.4 points and 4.3 rebounds in 270 games withthe Nuggets and Oklahoma City/Seattle franchise. He was traded to the Nuggetsfrom the Thunder on Jan. 7 for guard Chucky Atkins(notes) in a deal that also involveddraft picks.
