Rockets F McGrady back at practice

HOUSTON (AP)—Tracy McGrady(notes) has returned to practice with the Houston Rocketsfor the first time since microfracture surgery in February, but the seven-timeAll-Star still doesn’t know when he’ll play.
McGrady says he can play now, but Rockets coach Rick Adelman has said he’snot ready.
Adelman missed practice Monday to attend to a personal matter and was notavailable for comment. Assistant coach Elston Turner says “it’s a process” toget McGrady back.
McGrady was set to undergo an MRI late Monday which he says is“irrelevant,” but that the team wants to review before any decision on hisreturn is made.
