Sixers sign C Brezec away from Europe

PHILADELPHIA (AP)—The Philadelphia 76ers have signed center Primoz Brezec(notes), whoplayed in Europe last season.
Terms of Thursday’s deal weren’t immediately disclosed by the Sixers.
The 7-foot-1 Brezec has played in 321 games with 214 starts in seven NBAseasons with Indiana, Charlotte, Detroit and Toronto. He has averaged 7.6 pointsand 4.1 rebounds.
Brezec played for Lottomatica Virtus Roma of the Italian League last season.
