CBS says five minutes with Woods not enough

March 22, 2010

NEW YORK (AP)—CBS turned down an interview with Tiger Woods after being toldthe network would be limited to five minutes of questions.

CBS Sports spokeswoman LeslieAnne Wade says CBS would be interested in anextended interview with the troubled golf star “without any restrictions.”

Both ESPN and the Golf Channel conducted interviews with Woods that airedSunday. The networks say the only restriction placed on their interviews was afive-minute time limit. It was the first time Woods had talked to reporterssince the beginning of the sex scandal that has sidelined him.

Those networks say they believe it was more important to put questions toWoods than to turn it down because of that restriction.
