Harrington takes early lead in Tampa

PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP)—Padraig Harrington continued his memorable week with a6-under 65 that gave him a one-shot lead among the early finishers after thesecond round Friday in the Transitions Championship.
Harrington already is assured of good memories this week, having gone to theWhite House for a St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. Even better would be collectinghis first official victory since he won the PGA Championship at the end of the2008 season.
Harrington was one-shot clear of Carl Pettersson, who had a bogey-free 68,and Jim Furyk, who has gone nearly three years without a victory. Furyk had a68. Also one shot behind was Bubba Watson, who missed a 4-foot birdie putt onhis final hole that would have given him a share of the lead.
