Ogilvy goes cross country to shoot 65

PALM HARBOR, Fla. (AP)—Geoff Ogilvy has finished one of his longest days witha 6-under 65 at the Transitions Championship after flying home to Arizonathinking he had missed the cut.
Ogilvy realized Friday evening he should stick around when the cut linemoved. But he couldn’t get his golf bag off the plane, so he had to fly toPhoenix, then turn around and fly back to Tampa for an 8:50 a.m. tee time.
Ogilvy says he spent less than an hour in Phoenix, never leaving theairport. He says his wife, Julie, came out to the airport to bring him golfshoes because the former U.S. Open champion had shipped his home.
