Big 12 places 5 teams in Top 25

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP)—Kansas and Texas hold the top two spots in the polls,not much of a surprise considering the depth and talent of both teams.

The rest of the Big 12? They’re not too bad, either.

With five teams in the Top 25 and a combined winning percentage of 82percent, the Big 12 is holding steady as one of the nation’s power conferences.

The conference has three undefeated teams, including surprising Texas Tech,which is 9-0 for the first time in 80 years and moved up seven spots to No. 16this week.

Kansas State debuted at No. 17 after beating UNLV and Texas A&M, despitelosing to New Mexico, which came in at No. 23.

The Big 12 has the fewest losses of all conferences with 20.
