Michigan St. G Lucas returns vs. Purdue

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP)—Michigan State’s Kalin Lucas played against Purdueafter missing one game with a sprained right ankle.
Lucas came off the bench with 14:25 left in the first half for the10th-ranked Spartans against the sixth-ranked Boilermakers on Tuesday night andhad a brace wrapped around his ankle.
He was injured a week ago in a loss at No. 11 Wisconsin didn’t play inSaturday’s loss at Illinois.
Michigan State coach Tom Izzo said he wasn’t sure if Lucas would be healthyenough to face Purdue the day before the possibly pivotal Big Ten matchup.
The reigning Big Ten player of the year leads the Spartans in scoring with15-plus points per game.
