Texas’ Brown day to day with neck strain

AUSTIN, Texas (AP)—Texas guard J’Covan Brown is still listed as “day to day”by team officials, leaving his status for Monday night’s game against Oklahomauncertain.
Brown was immobilized and carried off the court Saturday after hitting hishead on a hard fall in No. 21 Texas’ 74-58 loss at Texas A&M. He was taken to aCollege Station hospital but was later released with what team trainer Eric Frycalled a “neck strain.”
Texas (22-7) has lost seven of its last 12 games and already has lost twoguards, Varez Ward and Dogus Balbay, for the season with injuries.
